Private Residence in Tomah, Wisconsin

Synopsis

The residence is a private home that is approximately 48 years of age. The family has resided in the home for 27 years. The owners have recently been experiencing possible paranormal activity since March of 2012, but the adult children have had experiences during their childhood in the home.

The property was traced back to 1854 where Abner Stedman purchased the 40 acre parcel for the price of $150.00 from the U.S Government under the Swamp Land Act of 1850. This Act ceded all unusable land due to swamps and flooding to be ceded to the Government. The states were given the rights to sell the land to independent parties and speculators to purchase land for their investments or to establish commerce.

The property was bought and sold numerous times since 1854. Some of Tomah’s most prominent residences have owned that land, such as Robert Gillett and M.L Stoughton.

This was a second investigation done by the WPRS at this residence. The first investigation was on August 17^th, 2012.

Paranormal Activity Reported

· Apparition of a little girl has been seen

· Large orb shape objects have been seen

· Misty transparent shadows have been seen

· Feelings of being watched

· Family recorded numerous EVP’s of voices and videos of orb shape objects inside the home

Investigation

The WPRS investigated on Friday, November 9^th, 2012 from approximately 7:00 pm to 12:30am. Investigators Beaudry and Blaschka were present. Equipment used during the investigation included a digital video recorder (DVR) system, infrared and full spectrum cameras, digital camera, Trifield EMF meter, K2 EMF meter, REM POD EMF meter, thermal probe, laser grid, vibration detectors and two digital recorders.

First floor EMF and temperature degree readings:

· Living room 2.5 – 3 milligauss, 64-66 degrees, ambient temperature 70 degrees. Past readings 5-7 milligauss

· Kitchen 3-4 milligauss, 68-69 degrees, ambient 69 degrees. Past readings 8-10 milligauss

· Dining room 4-7 milligauss, 66-68 degrees, Ambient 69.9 degrees. Past readings 9-10 milligauss

· Hallway 4-5 milligauss, 67-68 degrees, ambient 69.9 degrees. Past readings 7-8 milligauss

· Bedroom #1, 7-8 milligauss, 67 degrees, ambient 70 degrees. Past reading 10 milligauss

· Bedroom #2, 5-6 milligauss, 65 degrees, ambient 69 degrees. Past readings 8-10 milligauss

· Master bedroom 4-5 milligauss, 64-65 degrees, Ambient 69 degrees. Past reading 4-5 milligauss

· Coin room 3-4 milligauss, 61-62 degrees, Ambient 67 degrees. Past readings 3-4 milligauss

· Weight room 4-6 milligauss, 59-62 degrees, Ambient 68 degrees. Past readings 4-5 milligauss

· Lower bedroom 3-4 milligauss, 60-61 degrees, Ambient 68 degrees. Past readings 3-4 milligauss

The digital video recorder (DVR) system was set up and cameras were placed around the residence. Camera one was placed at the top of the basement staircase. Camera two was placed near the side entry door facing down the hallway. Camera three was placed in the upper master bedroom and positioned so the master bedroom and the smaller bedroom across the hall were covered. Camera four was placed in the lower bedroom, along with the laser grid and positioned so the bedroom and weight room were covered.

A K2 EMF meter and REM POD EMF meter were placed on a table in the lower bedroom. A vibration sensor was also placed agaist the bedroom wall and table. Investigators Beaudry and Blaschka conducted the first EVP session on the first floor of the residence. Investigator Blaschka was seated on the floor of the master bedroom and Investigator Beaudry was across the hall in the smaller bedroom, seated on the bed. A Tri-field EMF meter and vibration sensor was placed in the hallway. During that EVP session, a sound was heard like a loud thump, coming from the living room area.

A second EVP session was conducted in the basement. Investigator Blaschka was seated on the bed in the bedroom and Investigator Beaudry was on the sofa in the weight room. During that EVP session, the sounds of footsteps were heard over head in the kitchen and dinning room area.

Personal Experience

Investigators Blaschka and Beaudry through out the evening encountered numerous personal experiences. While doing a walk though in the lower basement bedroom, Investigators Blaschka and Beaudry heard two small thumps and then a sound of fingernails being dragged down the plaster drywall beside them for approximately 15-20 seconds. Investigators tried to debunk the sound by pounding on the wall and listening for any animal activity with in the wall, which no signs or sounds of animal activity were present afterwards.

While setting up the (DVR) camera in the lower basement bedroom, Investigator Blaschka heard a low tone disembodied voice saying, woooo. In that same bedroom, Investigator Beaudry heard a higher pitch tone, but was unable to hear a distinct word.

During the EMF reading near the end of the hallway between the two bedrooms, Investigator Blaschka had a high anomalous EMF spike and then heard what appeared to be a loud deep breathing exhale. Investigator Blaschka also heard a whistle while setting up the (DVR) system in the living room.

Photograph Evidence

Numerous photographs were taken with the full spectrum, infrared and digital cameras. Nine different photographs appeared to be different in nature from the rest.

*Digital Blur- this photograph was taken with the digital camera in the basement weight room area. This was the only picture taken in that sequence that came out with an unexplainable blur. Numerous other pictures were taken before and after this picture and did not have the same effects. - Click Here

EVP Evidence

On this investigation, after reviewing all the digital recordings from Investigator Beaudry and Blaschka’s recorders on the first floor session, no EVP recordings were captured. During the second EVP session in the basement area, Investigator Beaudry captured a strange unidentified sound that can not be explained.

Conclusion

Upon reviewing all the evidence from our previous investigation and the evidence collected during this investigation and all the personal experience that occurred, it is highly likely that this property is haunted with some sort of paranormal activity, but for whom is doing the haunting is still unknown?
