Private Residence - Plover, Wisconsin

SYNOPSIS

On July 24, 2019, the Wausau Paranormal Research Society was contacted by the client who stated they had been experiencing paranormal activity in their home in Plover, WI. I spoke with the client's on the phone about the types of activity being experienced in their home. The husband has lived in the home since 1996. Both occupants wed in 2016 and his wife moved into the home. The activity increased in the same year after they began to remodel. The client's are hoping we can figure out who or what is haunting their home. They wonder if it is a deceased family member or their beloved pet Pit bull (Esme) who recently passed.

The client's were told what we planned to do during the investigation. We planned to set up cameras and recorders in the areas where they experienced activity and perform two separate EVP sessions. The first, without the homeowner present and the second, with them present and asking questions. We were curious if there was a noted increase in activity when they were involved.

PARANORMAL ACTIVITY REPORTED

* Kitchen cabinets heard opening and closing when no one is in the kitchen.

* A vase sitting atop the kitchen refrigerator observed tapping against cabinet door while client was standing next to it in front of the sink.

* Mumbled conversation between two unseen persons were heard in the home by the clients when no one else is present. The contents of the discussion cannot be understood.

* An unseen presence was felt standing behind the clients (while sitting on the couch) and then smelled the odor of fresh cigarette smoke being blown into their face.

* Smell of fresh toast being made when none has been made.

* The lingering scent of an “older woman’s perfume” smelled in the home.

* The apparition of an elderly woman has been observed sitting on the corner of the bed.

* The family Chihuahua plays with an unseen “friend” when no other pets or guests are present.

* The apparition of an older, tall, thin man has been seen walking through different rooms of the home and even walked across the porch and knocked on the front door. He has been seen by the female homeowner and their granddaughter.

* An unseen force will pull the towel off the shower rod onto the bathroom floor.

* Feeling of being watched in the basement of the home

* Seeing moving shadow forms in the basement craft room.

CASE FINDINGS

On August 9, 2019, at 1900 hours, an investigation of the client's home was conducted from 1900 hours until 0000 hours. Investigators present this evening were James Coscio; Shawn Blaschka; Betsy Duginski; and Bill Beaudry.

Our client's gave us a tour of the home and shared where the paranormal experiences happened. After the tour, they left the home, and we set up our equipment and sketched the layout of the home. Camera #1 was placed in the basement craft room facing towards the freezers. Camera #2 was placed at the foot of the basement steps pointing up the staircase. Camera #3 was placed outside by the front door of the house facing the approach to the home. Camera #4 was placed in the dining room looking into the kitchen.

Baseline readings were recorded on the main level of the home using the EMF meters. Results ranged from 0 Milligauss to 10 Milligauss on the main floor. The average was 3 Milligauss. The highest readings were in the living room, behind the TV (10MG), bedroom 2 (7MG), and the kitchen (4MG). Next, baseline readings were recorded in the lower level of the home. Results ranged from 2 Milligauss to 5 Milligauss. The average was 3 Milligauss. Three higher readings were concentrated in the doorway between the freezer and the basement living room (5MG), the water heater next to the same doorway (4MG), and along the Southwest wall of the basement living room (4MG). The furnace is located on the other side of this wall.

Investigator Duginski manned the WPRS Command Center and monitored the camera system and audio during the first EVP session. Any anomalies observed were recorded. EVP’s were performed in the kitchen and living room of the home by Blaschka, Beaudry, and I. We had spikes on our Tri field meters and K2 meter. One of the meters had gone off downstairs during our questioning.

PERSONAL EXPERIENCES

Investigators Coscio and Blaschka both experienced being “nudged” by an unseen presence near the front door in the living room and near the kitchen. Coscio experienced being nudged and then brushed past on his left leg at thigh height. Blaschka experienced a few nudges in the lower left side of his back, above the waistline. The best description for this is when a family’s pet dog is checking out a visitor and decides they want attention or moves on to the next visitor. There were no pets in the home. However, the family keeps their Pit bull “Esme’s” ashes above the television in the living room.

Investigator Beaudry received a level of “attention” multiple times while using the tri field meter and K2 meter in the living room. This energy level existed between waist height and the floor. Both meters spiked and remained that way. But as soon as Investigator Blaschka approached Beaudry, the meters went back to normal and registered 0 readings.

Investigator Beaudry experienced a sensation of walking through cobwebs in the basement of the home. This resulted in raised goose bumps on both arms and the hair on his arms standing on end. Investigators Duginski and Coscio witnessed this incident.

Investigator Blaschka was touched on his left cheek during one EVP session in the kitchen. Shortly after this happened, a chair could be heard sliding a short distance and the Rem Pod sounded from the basement.

Investigators experienced being watched, touched, and felt strong presences while downstairs in the basement doing EVP’s.

The client's returned and participated in the second EVP session. We recorded many direct responses to their questions.

CONCLUSIONS

I believe the client's are down to earth, sincere, and caring people who are very family oriented and honest. I believe that there is a presence in the home using the higher EMF readings to manifest and try to contact the clients. The presence does not seem to be harmful but has unintentionally caused the client to become frightened. The WPRS has found enough evidence to support paranormal activity in the home. It appears they are being looked after by deceased family members and their former pet “Esme”.
