Privately Owned Residence - Stevens Point, Wisconsin

Synopsis

The WPRS was contacted on January 30, 2017 by the daughter of the client about paranormal activity occurring in the home of her parents. The home is located in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. The family has lived in the home for 23 years. Activity seems to have been occurring the last 4 years, ever since the family acquired a television from a pawn shop. The television is kept in the master bedroom.

The family provides daily childcare for some of their grandchildren in their home. Lately, the paranormal activity has been noticed by the children.

Paranormal Activity Reported

The client has seen a shadow-like thin man with a beard, medium height, wearing a brimmed hat.

The couple’s 4-year old granddaughter was touched and saw the child’s shirt move at the time.

The client has been touched many times by an unseen entity.

The couple’s 2-year old grandson seems to follow something around the home.

Banging noises, footsteps, thuds, and knocking on doors have all been heard in various parts of the home.

Things have gone missing only to be found out in the open at a later time. Examples include a remote, a bank card, and a grandchild’s

pacifier.

The client often sees the lights on the television in her bedroom and the numbers on her alarm clock moving around.

The client once experienced the figure of a young boy sitting on her bed.

Things seem to have been pushed off of a bookshelf used for storing toys in the front hallway.

The client experienced a flower pot moving in the garage.

Investigation

The investigation took place on April 7, 2017. Investigators Blaschka, Duginski, Spialek, and Beaudry were present. Equipment used during the investigation included digital cameras, digital voice recorders, EMF Detectors, DVR System, Full Spectrum Camera, a REM-pod, and an infrared thermal probe.

The client gave a tour to the investigators and explained where activity has been occurring. She pointed out the television in the bedroom that had come from a pawn shop. While she wasn’t positive of a direct link between the activity and the television, she felt that the activity in the home had started right around the same time that the television arrived. While in the bedroom, Beaudry thought he saw a dark shadow moving in the attached bathroom. He also felt something cobwebby touch the top of his head.

While talking with the client in the living room, Spialek felt something tap her right foot 3 times in a row.

After the tour, temperature and EMF readings were taken. There were no anomalous temperature readings taken in the home through the course of the investigation. The electro-magnetic field on the home’s main floor was a steady .5-1 milliGaus. Normal EMF levels are typically thought to be anything under 2.5 milliGaus.

Digital, infrared and full spectrum photos were taken during the course of the investigation, as well as infrared video. No anomalies were found.

Conclusion and Recommendation

Although there were personal experiences had by investigators, we were not able to find scientific paranormal evidence.

The client has talked to the entity in the past, and WPRS recommends that she continue to do so. Reinforcing the rules, such as “no touching the children” is an important way take back the home. Getting rid of the bedroom television, at least for a while, is also suggested in case it is tied to the activity.

Ultimately, it might be a good idea for the family to contact someone in the clergy to talk to about the things they are experiencing and possibly perform a house blessing.
